Here is another post dedicated to utilitarian art. We need tables and at most times we need cats. Hence, the genius creation of the cat playground and desk. Materials used: Wood and cats. Designer Ruan Hao of the architectural firm LYCS, designed this desk to satisfy one's cat's curiosity of repetitively exploring unknown paths. He states, "It is a table for us, and a paradise for cats". Need I say more.
After seeing this, I realized that in reality, everything is a maze. From finding your phone in your messy bedroom to finding your classes on campus to finding your way through life. Mazes are a great thing since as mentioned in this example they stir the cats' curiosity, and for us as human beings as our curiosity grows, our thinking broadens and our work improves. And as shown, they're fun! All this comes perfectly in this one package called the CATable, a fun yet intriguing art piece of utility.
Life is a maze - an obstacle course. Enjoy the ride!
