"Humor (is) the process that allows one to brush reality aside when it becomes too distressing." - Andre Breton |

A single sheet of A4 paper, glue, a scalpel and about two weeks is all that Peter Callesen needs to create his intricate paper creations. Ranging from critters in nature, to inner body explorations, and to scenes that are perhaps only seen in movies, his paper art creations are so amazing and seem to often come packaged with a giggle (for me at least). One of the main reasons why he uses A4 paper as his medium is because he finds the material to be relatable to everyone. It is the most common way to share information. He also does other things like performance art that is kind of strange more than it is funny, but his paper cutouts are definitely worth checking out at his website: http://www.petercallesen.com/home/

Great post! I wonder if I can make something similar for the project within the week, despite the short deadline haha. Still working with the paper vs digital idea. Leave a Reply. |
