This Italian street artist, working under the pseudonym Blu, has been creating street art since 1999. It was not until he began using house paint in 2001 that his style and career took off. His works are massive covering walls all over South America and Europe mainly. He has a surrealist style of painting that generally consists of sarcastic and dramatic human figures that tend to have political issues tied into them. Something about his ability to create dream-like characters and scenes is hilariously funny. He also does a few animations that are creatively genius yet hilarious as well.
I love that video! The combination of mixing 2D with 3D, stop motion, and interaction with the environment, all with an awesome message of what is happening in life and the universe. I think anybody can see just how much time and effort has been put into this.
I can't even tell if some parts were photoshopped or not, especially with so many areas such as hanging pipes that are just so hard to reach; if it wasn't, then it would require constantly shifting over equipment such as ladders and scaffoldings thousands of times just for unique frame shots. Even if everything were photoshopped, the concept is so original that it's still excellent, but the fact that most if not everything seems to be real makes this video so sublime.
