This woman should have had her work in our last project because all her pieces convey absurdity and sublime all at the same time. Nicola Constantino, an Argentinian artist, recently made a series of items entitled, “Human Furriery”. It is an art project/fashion line that is made up of clothing decked out with 3D silicone nipples and a “fur” trim made of human hair. Her objective in making her pieces is to make people feel uncomfortable and I think her work does that very well. She also diversifies her work by portraying other parts of the human body. Check out these shoes! Can you make out that part?

Comment by Lauren Trangmar: This is quite interesting; the idea of taking clothing [that is meant to cover up these parts of our bodies from the public] and exposing them whilst the wearer wears the clothing. It is like wearing clothing, yet not/it subverts the whole reason/meaning behind wearing clothes in the first place. I wonder how it would feel to wear these around? Would you feel naked? Self conscious_ to what level? Would people feel awkward around you?
