Georgia O'Keeffe is a talented american artists who first came to the attention of the art community in 1916. She made large-format paintings of enlarged blossoms, presenting them close up as if seen through a magnifying lens. Throughout her career she has come to be known as the mother of American Modernism. O'Keeffe is known for portraying the female anatomy in different and unexpected ways, mostly with flowers. This artist has done special work in hawaii for the Dole Plantation and is displayed in the Honolulu Museum of art. After her death in 1986, Georgia O'Keeffe continues to be an easily recognized name throughout the country.
